Meadow Works

Partially hidden by housing and trees, the works building can be seen in the centre of the photo. Currently the works is a number of separate industrial units mainly providing spares and servicing for cars. It originally opened as the Welm Laundry circa 1906 and was a munitions factory during the First World War. The height of the A1000, Pricklers Hill, above the surrounding land at this point is apparent from the houses below. They are perched on the side of the Dollis Valley.
