Until a couple of years earlier, the service use to come straight along Bramcote Avenue instead of Cator Lane. The change of route became necessary because the old route had some very sharp bends, lots of parked cars and a number of overhanging trees, with which the long-wheelbase double-deck buses were not compatible.
