The Cathedral is the seat of the Bishop the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dromore, a see founded by Colman of Dromore in the 6thC. Since the Reformation the Cathedral at Dromore has belonged to the Anglican Church, now Church of Ireland. In the 1820s, the re-established Roman Catholic diocese of Dromore decided to locate its cathedral at Newry. http://www.dromorecathedral.co.uk/
