The War Memorial is located in the graveyard on the other side of Church Road from Image Evidently, from a photograph in Putmans' archive http://www.putmans.co.uk/OldWalton_sundry_Assetts/928-Station-Lounge-+-Garden.jpg this was not its original location. Old Ordnance Survey maps show that the current location of the War Memorial is just in front of where the town's mortuary once was.
