Nithsdale farm, dating from before 1800, with commendable green credentials as it strives to protect local biodiversity. It has pastureland, beef and sheep grazing, but also has a human crop. Here is also a crossroads for Southern Uplands Way walkers and many different transport modes on the John O'Groats to Land's End route. The B&B breakfasts are superb. http://www.newarkfarm.com/index.html
