Closed railway, now National Cycle Route 7 between Balloch and Glasgow. There was a duplication of railways between Dumbarton and Bowling, making the transport infrastructure concentration here even more remarkable - two railways, a canal to the east, a trunk road and navigable river all within a few hundred metres.
