Heading northwards out of the small village of Streat. One of three tarmaced roads within the parish which is about six miles long and a little over half a mile wide, this one which runs north-south and two which run east-west, the B2116 in the south of the parish and St Helenas Lane, the C6, which runs across the north of the parish. The lane itself is an old droving route linking the Downs to the Weald and centuries of livestock tramping up and down the hill has left a pronounced holloway. A footpath runs along the bank to the left.
