Century Street is a short cobbled street leading off Whitworth Street West. The arches seen on the left carry the Metrolink Tramline. Underneath is the Rochdale Canal in the Gaythorn Tunnel which carries under Deansgate to its junction with the Bridgwater Canal. A blue plaque Image marks the reconstruction of the tunnel by Manchester Corporation in 1902.
