German-built locomotive Graf Schwerin-Lowitz uncouples from the carriages. She (it is railway practice to refer to all locomotives as 'she' even if it carries a male name) will move towards the buffers at the end of the line, switch tracks, travel past the carriages, switch tracks again, and finally be coupled to the other end of the train, ready for the next departure.
