Stone Bridge, Saltney, and a development site

The historic Stone Bridge in Saltney carries the A5104 over Balderton Brook. The bridge almost certainly dates to the time of the 18th century turnpike, built after the draining of Saltney marshes. Beyond the brook and the bridge is a development site, formerly G T Owens. Although the old buildings were demolished nearly two years ago, in August 2009 there is no sign of any further progress.
