Amesburys memorial to her fallen of two world wars, this is the first memorial I have seen that carries the name of a. Nursing Sister Ellena Kirby who served with the Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service, She died on 15/02/1946 aged 23 and is buried in the Tel Kebir War Memorial Cemetery in Egypt.
