This picture of the park taken from up the hill with the football ground in the bottom left hand corner, has a feature that most do not notice. The three smaller trees in the foreground are what remains of the original field hedging and have survived over 100 years of park cultivation. If you look closely you can just make out the field ditch in front of the trees.
