When I last stood here by the Image in 2006 the Essex Wildlife Trust’s sheep had made sure this was pasture http://www.essexwt.org.uk/visitor_centres__nature_reserves/little_haven/ You can see that given only a little time the Silver Birches are getting established. Unless there is intervention this field will soon be woodland.
