Possibly the smallest chapel in Wales, it has been used by both Quakers and Unitarians. It was originally an outbuilding (notice the blocked in doorway and window), the frontage being added when it became a chapel. The plaque on the front commemorates the fact that David Ivon Jones worshipped there. Jones was born in Aberystwyth in 1883, and emigrated to South Africa in 1910, there he became a founder member of the Communist Party and championed equal rights for black South Africans. He moved to Moscow in 1920 and died in Yalta in 1924.
