A Grade II listed building http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=64772&mode=adv which has had various former uses including salt store, lime warehouse and tannery, from which use its name presumably originates. It has recently been renovated and is now a ladies' fashion shop.
