The concrete abundments are all that are left of the bridge that carried this line over the road. This was part of the Wymondham to Forncett avoiding line via Ashwellthorpe. It connected the Great Eastern Mainline to the Breckland line, missing out Norwich. The line closed in 1951 and its trackbed is protected as strategic a freight route.
