In the foreground are the rowing clubs' landing stages. The left bank is lined with warehouses, including Trent Carriers', reminders of the once very busy barge traffic on the Trent. The yellow excavator on the left is being used in the restoration of Meadow Lane Lock, part of a regeneration scheme.
