Named after the great Arts & Crafts movement pioneer, this pub stands on the edge of the Abbey Mills crafts complex. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Morris Abbey Mills has links to the Arts & Crafts movement via Liberty, who had a fabric printing works nearby. Back in 2003, Time Team carried out a dig on the Liberty site. http://www.channel4.com/history/microsites/T/timeteam/2003_merton.html
