Just appeoaching Albert Square on a southbound journey is Car No 712, built in 1935 as an open-topper. This car is still in service and retains green and cream livery. Even more surprisingly is the fact that, at least on one side above the centre door, its old number (249) is still on show in silver, screw-on, digits.
