Stour Provost: the old post office

This cottage was once the post office, as signified by the 'Ludlow' postbox, a design specifically intended for sub-post offices. The post office, having opened in 1896 and closed on 1 August 1978, reopened on 18 December 1985 and closed finally on 22 July 1991. See Image for a close-up of the postbox.
