Now a circulatory system rather than a mere "corner", and Mitcham's shop was long gone before I first came to Cambridge in the late 1980s, but the name sticks on. The row of shops on the left mainly serve local needs; on the right is a small green where Victoria Avenue once ran. The traffic signals were installed a month or so before this picture was taken - prior to that, these junctions had zebra crossings.
