In the two years since this phone box was last photographed Image, the coinbox has been removed and the sticker "Coins not accepted here" has been applied. Granted that mobile phone usage has made a severe dent in the use of phone boxes, but there seems to be a move afoot to price them out of existence altogether. On the one occasion I have had to use one of these boxes, it took me ten minutes to work out how to use my debit card to make a phone call. When my bill arrived, I found I had been charged £1.55 for a one-minute call to the next village!
