The car collection was made by Dr P Hall, a businessman of Wymondham (Leicestershire) and prominent local politician / benefactor of Loughborough University. He built the museum buildings at Caister Castle in the 1960s/1970s: the entrance hall is short, and leads to two very long display corridors, linked by a shorter corridor at the far end, full of motorcycles.
