Ffyst Samson and Carn Llys

This is an unusual burial chamber with a capstone poised on two uprights. As is often the case, a natural outcrop nearby appears to echo or reinforce the artificial structure. Carn Llys means Court Cairn and the farm below is named Trellys-y-coed: place of the wood court. Perhaps this location has a lost significance?
