The west side of the skew bridge built to take the motorway over the now-dismantled Hemel Hempstead to Harpenden railway (The Nicky Line). The lines were lifted in 1979, but National Cycle Network Route 57 now follows the trackbed. Preliminary clearing works for the current widening of the motorway have taken place in the foreground. The east side of the bridge is in the next grid square to the north Image
