This wall-mounted postbox: Image - was removed by Royal Mail owing to 'Health and Safety concerns'. Many locals, including myself, suspected the box had been stolen like another local letter box - furthermore, the old "Mossvale Road" sign above it was removed some time back without plausible explanation. An article in the Dromore Leader shortly afterwards dispelled these rumours and the box was promptly reinstalled. Had it have been stolen - no doubt all eyes would have been on the antiques dealer next door!
