Small side street linking Market Street with Black Lion Street and originally known as St Bartholomews Lane. The name was changed in 1798 to celebrate Nelson's victory over the French in Egypt. The northern side was once a Victorian printing press whose buildings were demolished in the late 1980s when the street was pedestrianised. Those to the south (Or on the left) are the rear of premises that front out onto Prince Albert Street.
