Hard to track down information on these buildings between St Martin's Church Street and Churchill Way. See Image; they are adjacent to a new accommodation development for Wiltshire College called St Mary's House. See http://www.prparchitects.co.uk/our-work/education/higher-education/st-marys-house.html . Pevsner (1963) refers to the House of Mercy, and chapel (possibly "St Mary’s Chapel ... converted into a new multi-use centre especially for our HE students" http://www.wiltshire.ac.uk/student_services/accommodation/default.asp . Surprisingly, they are unlisted. I assume this reference on http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/A2A/records.aspx?cat=005-dex16411835&cid=-1&Gsm=2008-06-18#-1 applies: "St Mary's Home (House of Mercy), Salisbury, Wiltshire: established 1831. Run by Community 1889-1947."
