The building on the corner used to house the doctor's surgery of Dr Pollock, who was our family doctor in the 1950's and 60's. His partners in the practice were a husband and wife (I've forgotten their names), and the practice later moved to 12 De Parys Avenue after Dr Pollock retired. It now houses De-ientes "Smile a while", a dental practice.
