This carousel was set up in Homefield Rise as part of the Orpington Summer Fete, which took pace over the first Friday/Saturday/Sunday of July 2009. Most of the attractions were in the Market Square (see Image) for example), but this carousel was presumably too big, and it was instead put here, at the junction of Homefield Rise with the High Street - even here some railings needed to be removed.
