Brindley Close is unlikely to feature on a list of candidates for inclusion as a picture on a chocolate box, which isn't to say it doesn't have a certain utilitarian charm. The sorts of enterprise to be found here are those you'd not like to live near to but here, tucked away on an industrial estate, they can discharge their essential services with little risk of upsetting anyone. In this view the predominant businesses are car breakers. I can remember, with mixed emotions it has to be said, frequenting places like this in my early motoring career seeking parts for the various old Morrises, Fords and Volkswagens that served to keep the Marshall backside off the tarmac.
