Mews housing is a major feature of the Marylebone and Paddington areas, although the mews are invariably tucked away unseen through narrow archways and entries. This is very close to, but a world away from, the bustle of Paddington station. The man up the ladder appears to be painting the windows, taking advantage of a warm summer evening.
