The occupants of Nelson Road, on the left here, were not exactly pleased to discover that this huge block could be built, towering over their back gardens and blocking the sun, without any planning permission, and therefore no chance to object. The block was built as the headquarters for the building of the arc shopping centre - now this is complete the offices can go. The road in the foreground is the goods delivery access for the arc. (PS arc really is spelled in lower case, and no, I do not know why.)
