An HST (Inter City 125) approaches the A4103 bridge, a short distance into its rather slow journey to London Paddington. The route was singled between Ledbury and Shelwick Junction in 1985: hence the distant signal for the junction in the former down line formation. HSTs returned to Cotswold Line services in 2009 after numerous local complaints about the inferior quality of more modern rolling stock.
