BMI Baby jet going into land at Cardiff International Airport. Picture taken as he flies over the Western edge of The Bulwarks, one of a series of Iron Age fortification sites along the coast which existed 400 years before the Romans invaded. Its ramparts enclose some 4 hectares and the western defences are well preserved. The site was excavated in 1968, and two buildings of the Roman period and one probably of the Iron Age period were discovered.
