Looking down on the station from Gilbert Road, which runs alongside the railway. The train visible is a restaurant; steam trains to Corfe Castle run on the track this side of the platform. The re-laying of the line to Wareham, linking the Swanage Railway with the national network, has recently been completed and there are plans to, eventually, provide services all the way from Wareham.
