The DT1 postcode district covers urban Dorchester, with DT2 covering a vast rural area around the town. This is the only part of DT1 which falls outside the natural town boundaries of the river to the north and the by-pass to the south. The Came View estate indeed looks out over the parish of Winterborne Came, to the south. The Elizabeth II-reign postbox is emptied finally at 5:15pm on weekdays and at 11:30am on Saturdays.
