Looking west at the bridge carrying the east coast mainline (which runs from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh) over the road from Longhoughton to Alnwick. The former railway station at Longhoughton was immediately south of the bridge (left of photo). The former station's goods yard is now the depot [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1365003] of the Aln Valley Railway Society.
