Against a threatening sky (which turned out to be a false alarm before a sunny afternoon), the frontages of West Street – including the town's main post office – catch the sun rather strikingly. In front of them, the town market is taking place – this happens every Saturday on both sides of East, West and South Streets, giving pedestrians the chance to experience the congestion that is frequently seen by traffic on those streets.
