This fine Art Deco Grade II Listed Odeon Cinema was opened on 25th May 1935. The architect was T. Cecil Howitt. Although now a 4 screen multiplex the art deco proscenium arch of the main auditorium and other features are retained. Also retained is one of the two remaining cinema organs still installed in a functioning UK cinema. There are regular concerts.
