A7, North Middleton

The modern alignment of the A7 passing North Middleton. There is an overtaking lane on the uphill side, as the road makes a lot of height gain here to eventually cross the pass to the Gala Water at Middleton Moor. This is a rare overtaking opportunity. The previous alignment ran through fields to the east. Arthur's Seat, near one end of the A7 in the distance.
