The playing field and new sports centre is on the northern side of the Barnards Green road whilst the majority of the public boarding school buildings are on the southern side. The spire to the right of the tree is on the chapel in Malvern cemetery. Up early to get the midsummer sunlight on an inscription on a north facing wall only to find it in shadow from this tree. So took the offending tree and I will return earlier on the next sunny weekend.
