Former Coatham Hotel

Built in the 1870's as The Coatham Hotel, it was supposedly only half built. The builder ran out of money and so built the single story less grand extension on the left as the Windsor Ballroom. In the 50's and 60's the Coatham was the home of the Redcar Jazz Club. The building is now apartments. For further reading see http://www.communigate.co.uk/ne/redcarrock/page2.phtml
