See Image The flyover carrying the M1 across Kingsway was built in 1957-59 (in advance of the motorway contract) by local contractor Farrans. It was substantially rebuilt in the early part of this century “to repair the bridge decks and abutments that have deteriorated over time with the ingress of water and de-icing salts, and also to accommodate the increasing weight of vehicles using the motorway”. This is the south western (Dunmurry) side. See also Image
