See Image The buildings in the previous photo once had names such as “Windsor Buildings” and “Merchants’ Buildings”. The part between Winetavern Street and Millfield was numbered 142-192 (the even numbers are on the left going out from the city centre) but I cannot say, for sure, which is which now. This lion, with a shield bearing the intertwined letters “F” and “C”, is above the ground floor on the building on the right. Continue to Image
