The main buildings, including the reception, bar and restaurant, of Saxa Vord Resort are housed in the old Sergeants' Mess of the former RAF Saxa Vord. The camp was bought by a company called Military Asset Management in 2006, after the RAF pulled out, but less than three years later it was put up for sale again.
