Looking downstream from Ambersham Bridge. The flowers on the left bank are cuckoo flower (Cardamine pratensis), a very pretty plant of damp places and stream sides. The Cuckoo Flower or Lady's Smock has flowers of lilac, pink or white and grows to 60cm.
