Detail of Image This is the bronze disc in the centre of the sculpture. The artist of the piece was Jo-Anne Hatty who worked with the Bridge Community Youth Group who are based on the nearby Ravenhill Road. Titled 'Porthole 2000' the piece "comprises two large curved blue steel elements with portholes, referring to Belfast shipbuilding." There is also a bronze disc set at the centre of the piece which was designed in conjunction with the aforementioned youth group. The sculpture was completed to mark the launch of the National Cycle Network Millennium Routes.
