This Victorian postbox was manufactured during a period between 1879 and 1887, when the 'VR' cipher was accidentally omitted and it is therefore known as an 'anonymous' box. It also has a higher than normal slot. The box is emptied at 5:30pm on weekdays and at noon on Saturdays.
