This view is looking eastwards towards Oakfield Drive. This footpath is marked as a field path on the 1850 map, and was enclosed when the land to the NE was built-up in the 19C and the section in this photo is named as a continuation of Chadwick Lane on the 1960s 6" map. However it is not marked on the current map as a public footpath. Fortunately when the hillside to the SW was developed recently the path was preserved.
